A defendant accused of premeditated murder and attempted premeditated murder of 2 individuals has been sentenced to 17 years in prison

Batumi City Court fully shared the evidence submitted by the prosecution and found a citizen of Turkey L.U. guilty of premeditated murder committed in aggravating circumstances and attempted premeditated murder of 2 individuals. 

The evidence submitted to the court confirmed that on November 24, 2018, at night, at Casino “Princess” in Batumi, L.U. with the purpose of revenge intentionally injured 2 women - citizens of Uzbekistan I.Z. and Kh.M. with a knife: I.Z. got injuries in the chest and foot area, Kh,M. suffered from 5 injuries in different areas of her body and face. I.Z. died at the crime scene. 

Law Enforcers detained L.U. at the crime scene. He was charged with the offense punishable under Article 108 (premeditated murder) and 19, Article 109§3 (a) (attempted premeditated murder of 2 individuals in aggravating circumstances) of the Criminal Code of Georgia and he was sentenced to imprisonment as a measure of constraint. 

Batumi City Court found L.U. guilty in the presented charge and he was sentenced to 17 years in prison.
