In December 2018, the Prosecutor General's Office of Georgia published information about convicting two more persons for the case of Gevork Sarkisian's murder.

Also 2 more individuals were convicted with the same article- R.K. and S.M.
The investigation found that on July 12, 2018, S.M. and E.M. had a tensed relationship with Gevork Sarkisyan. They planned to kill Sarkisian with their friend R.K.. RK, E.M. and S.M. In the preliminary agreement, all three of them with knives, with a special mercilessness stabbed Gevorak Sarkisyan 19 times in different parts of the body and they hid from the crime scene. As a result of the injuries, Sarkisyan died in hospital.
On the basis of evidence obtained at the first stage of investigation of Gevork Sarkisyan's murder on July 12, 2018, E.M. was sentenced on the basis of premeditated murder (Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia), while 4 persons were found guilty for not notifying the information about the crime.
The General Prosecutor's Office of Georgia considers that TV company Rustavi 2 serves to misinform the society and defame the reputation of the Prosecutor's Office by spreading information that in the case of murder there is only one accused person.
