Presentation of the results of research of the factors contributing to the crime of former convicts in the Prosecutor General's Office of Georgia was held.
The conference, which was attended by the representatives of ministries, government administration, local and international organizations and scientific circles, was opened by Deputy Prosecutor General Giorgi Gogadze.
The survey was conducted in 2018 by the Prosecutor General's Office of Georgia and the Crime Prevention Center of the Ministry of Justice in collaboration with the European Criminal Justice Support Project.
The main purpose of the public opinion poll was to reveal the risk and protective factors related to the repeated offense of crime, and the target groups of research were former convicts, their family members and service providers.
The results of the survey will help relevant civil services and non-governmental organizations to implement future projects and initiatives. The results of public opinion polls will also contribute to strengthening and improving crime prevention policies in Georgia.
