Within the frameworks of ongoing investigation on the fact of legalization of illegal income, Mamuka Khazaradze was interrogated before the judge as a witness on 26 December 2018.
Information as if Mamuka Khazaradze stated during the interrogation that he had received threatening letter from Giorgi Gakharia Minister of the Internal Affairs of Georgia is not true.
During the interrogation, Khazaradze only mentioned an official letter received from the National Bank of Georgia saying that he and Badri Japaridze may leave their positions. It had been considered as a threat by Mamuka Khazaradze. He also noted that forcing of a case that happened 11 years before in every authorities would aim insulting of their reputation internationally that automatically would cancel financing of Anaklia Port.
Extract from Mamuka Khazaradze`s interrogation record:
“In my deep faith, or I would say, I suppose that the letter of the president of the National Bank  that says that we may leave our positions and forcing of a case that happened 11 years ago in every authirities aims insulting of our image internationally that will automatically cancel financing of Anaklia Port. I declare it categorically. I received this letter with this threat and I will make it public when it is necessary. Everybody should know that they threatening us with these words.”
We would like to emphasize once again that Mamuka Khazaradze did not mention any letter received from Giorgi Gakharia the Minister of the Internal Affairs of Georgia.
