The Batumi City Court fully accepted the evidences submitted by the Prosecutor's Office and the defendant accused of violence carried out against wife and children was found guilty under subparagraph of the 2nd section of the article 1261 of the Criminal Code of Georgia and subparagraphs “a” "b" and "c" of the 2nd section of Article 1261 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
By the evidences submitted at the court it was confirmed that on May 11, 2018, during daytime hours, I.T. in his residential house in Kobuleti, carried out violence against his family members, when the defendant inflicted physical insult to his wife E.K. by hitting his hand on her head and in the area of the back and foot of his underage children, causing physical pain to the victims.
It was confirmed at the trial, that on May 3, 2018, in presence of thc children the defendant violated against his wife E.K. when several times hit in the area of the back. By I.T.’s action the victim suffered physical pain.
Law enforcers detained I.T. on May 12, 2018. He wascharged under subparagraph of the 2nd section of the article 1261 of the Criminal Code of Georgia (domestic violence, in the presence of underage child) and subparagraphs “a” "b" and "c" of the 2nd section of Article 1261 of the Criminal Code of Georgia (domestic violence, against more than two persons, in the presence of underage and against underage) and sentenced to imprisonment as a preventive measure.
Batumi City Court found the defendant guilty in the accusations and was sentenced to one year of imprisonment as a punishment type and measure. From which he must serve 6 months in the penitentiary establishment, and the remaining 6 months are considered conditional for a year probationary period.
