The Chief Prosecutor of Georgia Awards Successful Employees of 2017

The Chief Prosecutor of Georgia Irakli Shotadze wished a happy New Year to the employees of the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia.
The Chief Prosecutor summed up 2017 at the event, conducted in the Chief Prosecutor’s Office, expressed his gratitude towards his employees for their work and discussed the plans for the future. As Irakli Shotadze mentioned,  2017 was successful year for the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia: 2017-2021 strategy for the development of Prosecution Service has been approved, which is focused on the progress and development of the system. Also, Prosecutors Assessment System, developed by the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia, has been approved. A number of positive steps have been taken in the field of juvenile justice and human rights; The new Code of Ethics for the employees of the Prosecutor’s Office was approved and important steps were taken to raise the qualifications of the prosecutors.
The Chief Prosecutor also said that 2018 should be much more successful and progressive.  Implementation of highly qualified prosecutorial activities are still the permanent priority of the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia. The juvenile justice, domestic crime, trainings for the employees of the Prosecutor’s Office, implementation of training modules and other important issues are the priority directions for the next year.
Irakli Shotadze awarded the successful employees of the Prosecutor’s Office with the Certificates of gratitude and pre-term titles at the New Year event.  Using various criteria, the Advisory Council revealed Best Prosecutor of 2017 – Jarji Tsiklauri, who is the Deputy Head of the Investigation Division of Chief Prosecutor’s Office,   Best Investigator of 2017 – Lasha Abuladze, who is the Investigator of the Investigation Division of Chief Prosecutor’s Office, and Zugdidi District Prosecutor’s Office has become the Best Structural Unit of the year.
For the first time in this year, the new award established by the Prosecutor's Office of Georgia - Domestic Crime Prosecutor of the Year was handed over the Prosecutor of the Department of Procedural Management of Investigation in Tbilisi units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Ana Kalandadze.
The highest and honorary award for the loyal and long-term work within the prosecution system, for performing professional duties in a highly honest and highly professional manner, the rank of a Honorary Worker of the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia and the relevant badge was awarded to the Prosecutor of the Department of Procedural Management of Investigation in Tbilisi units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Grigol Bibilashvili and to the Prosecutor of the Department of Procedural Management of Investigation in Regional Prosecutor’s units of the West Georgia of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia – Ketevan Talakvadze.
