Giorgi Badashvili Has Been Appointed a Deputy Chief Prosecutor of Georgia

Giorgi Badashvili, former Head of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, has been appointed the position of Deputy Chief Prosecutor of Georgia. The order for the appointment of the Deputy Chief Prosecutor has been signed today.

Giorgi Badashvili was born in Tbilisi, in 1981.

In 2003, he graduated from the faculty of law of the Technical University of Georgia.

Giorgi Badashvili started his career at the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia in June 2006 and has held various positions since then.

He held the position of the Deputy Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency (Department) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia from 29.05.2013 through 22.11.2013.

He has held the position of the head of the Investigation Unit of the Chief Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia since November 22, 2013.

He held the office the Chief Prosecutor of Georgia from January 21, 2014, till December 2, 2015.

He held the position of the Head of the Investigation Service in 2015-2017.

He is fluent in English and Russian.
