Court Sentences Defendant Accused of Murder for Deprivation of Liberty for 9 Years

Akhaltsikhe District Court completely accepted the evidence submitted by prosecution and found Armen Markariani guilty of murder, under Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
Evidence investigated during the court hearing revealed that Armen Markariani had an argument with Arshaluis Sanonian in Ninotsminda, on July 6, 2016, around 02:30, when Armen Markariani stabbed Arshaluis Sanosiani in chest with a knife in retaliation, intending to kill him. Arshaluis Sanosiani died at the scene due to the inflicted wound.
Authorities arrested Armen Markariani in Akhalkalaki, on July 6, 2016. He was charged under Article 108 (murder) of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
Akhaltsikhe District Court found Armen Markariani guilty of the charge filed against him and sentenced him to deprivation of liberty for a term of 9 years in length as a type and size of penalty.
